Definitions

  • A distribution is unimodal if it has one mode. Unimodal distributions include:
    • Bell shaped distributions (symmetric, Normal)
    • Skewed right
    • Skewed Left
  • Multimodal distributions have two or more than one modes. Examples of multimodal distributions are:
