Project goals
The goal of this project is to design a new, modern, interactive and portable SOCR web-app that allows the user to quickly navigate, discover and explore the SOCR Datasets. This dynamic navigator will be purely based on HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript framework.
Project specification
The SOCR Data has a 2-tier hierarchical structure. The first tier hierarchy is for the type of data categorized (classified) by its' domain and sub-domains. The second tier hierarchy comes from the exemplary SOCR tools that can be employed to model, analyze or visualize these type of datasets. There are 2 main ways to discover socr datasets:
- The navigator will allow users to search for data using keywords (and/or scientific domains and SOCR tool types),
- The navigator will enable the dynamically traversal all datasets in a graphical manner.
Mouse-over a cell or a dataset should clearly identify the hierarchical types of the dataset - in terms of the scientific domain and the types of applicable SOCR tools.
