XY STEP RENDERER
Summary
This activity describes the need, general methods and SOCR utilities for XY Renderer Chart.
Goals
The aims of this activity are to:
- grasp a better understanding of the XY Renderer Chart
- allow users to explore the XY Renderer Chart in SOCR Applets
Background
The XY Step Renderer Charts are visualizations that display values that have been interpreted or reinstated and are often useful for converting graphics into visual form.
For references, visit More Renderer Charts.
Description
Go to the SOCR Charts and select Line Charts from the items located on the left, then select the demonstration for XY Renderer Step Charts:
The image above is a demonstration of a XY Renderer Step Chart. Note that is adopts the same characteristics as a basic Step Chart.
Examples & Exercises
- Exercise 1: Can more than one variable be used for the XY Renderer Line Chart? What conclusions can be made from the displays?
- Exercise 2: Are you able to use the XY Renderer Chart with an infinite type of variable?
Data Type and Format
By clicking Data between the Graph and Mapping button, it allows users to input or vary the values of the data set. Only numerical values are needed to create XY Renderer Charts. The image below shows the numerical dependent value to the corresponding independent value:
Applications
One of the most persuasive elements when proposing data and literature to others is a well-designed chart presentation.
For Renderer Charts, it is most useful for computer graphic designers who need to reinstate graphic files into visual graphs.
