EBook Problems Set - Probabilities Through Simulations
Problem 1
A certain soft drink company was having a promotional contest in which they claimed that 1 in 3 bottles contained a free download from an mp3 server. A professor noticed that one machine in the Math Sciences building gave him 8 free downloads in 11 purchases. If the company's claim is true, what is the probability of getting 8 or more free downloads in 11 purchases? We can design a simulation to find out. The first step in a simulation is to identify the component to be repeated. Which of the choices below would be the best choice for the component to be repeated?
- Choose one answer.
