Project goals
The goal of this project is to redesign, transform and upgrade the SOCR Hyperbolic Tree and Wheel Resource Navigators from Java to a modern platform- and browser-independent HTML5/JavaScript framework.
Project Description
- Review and play with the SOCR Hyperbolic Tree and Wheel Resource Navigators.
- Look at previously developed SOCR HTML5 webapps.
- Review the D3 framework.
- Review the various SOCR hyperbolic Tree/Wheel demos (e.g., NIF, NSF, Math Genealogy, NISER).
Approach
- Use the following (current) XML format/syntax/examples as (graph, node/edge) input data (e.g., NSF, NIF, Math Genealogy, NISER)
- Use this D3 example. Modify the input data format to consume our XML structure and test with some of the SOCR examples above.
