In 2020, due to the SARS-CoV-2 viral pandemic, the annual SOCR-Fall-Retreat will be virtual.
- Please see the UMich Maize-and-BluePrint site and President Schlissel’s comments on public-health informed instruction during the 2020=2021 academic year.
- We’ve chosen do organize the Fall 2020 SOCR Retreat virtually to accommodate all possible situations and get the generally most convenient way for a majority (all?) of us to join.
- SOCR Fall 2020 Retreat: Friday 8/28/20, 8 AM, SOCR BJ Channel.
- Make sure you have your camera enabled (we need to take a team photo) and use a headset/earbuds/mic.
- Update your GSides and try to share screen as appropriate to showcase your progress
- Make sure you update the GDrive sub-partition for your team and your-personal-contributions within the team sub-folder
- Update info into Master GSlides, which we will be running BJ calls from every other week (All-Hands Calls)
- Talk to each other, interact with team leaders, take pro-active role, and be creative!
Outline
Each SOCR Team and each team-member will have a chance to briefly present the status of their project and their R&D plan for Fall 2020. Please add 1-3 slides under your group’s section on the G_Slidedeck (SOCR_2020_MDP_AHM_GSlideDeck_Fall_2020.pptx) on GDrive. Each team should take 5-7 min and each member would have 1-2 min to showcase their contributions.
Each student e-notebook should be updated and contain all your materials, including their last term report. Please provide GDrive URL links in your GSlides to your GDrive Notebook folders. Try to run all demos through the GSlides, but also do interactive demos, as appropriate. Also, all code should be updated on SOCVR GitHub repository.
