SOCR News - Nicolas Christou receives the 2008 Brian Copenhaver Award

Summary

The Vice Provost, Judith Smith, announced on March 11, 2008, that Dr. Nicolas Christou is honored as one of 3 recepients of the prestegeous Brian P. Copenhaver Award for Innovation in Teaching with Technology for 2008. Dr. Christou will be honored on Monday, May 19^th, 2008 at a reception, starting at 3:30 PM in the California Room of the Faculty Center.

Recognition

Dr. Christou is quoted for the following contributions:

• His contributions to the Statistics EBook.
• His lead in building SOCR curriculum resources and integrating SOCR materials in the classroom many lower and upper division classes
• His development of novel interactive activities included in the SOCR Experiments and SOCR Analyses
• His developments of dozens of learning modules (e.g., Relations between distributions).
