Project goals
The goal of this project is to design a new, modern, interactive and portable SOCR web-app that allows the user to quickly navigate, discover and explore the [[[SOCR Data|SOCR Datasets]]. This dynamic navigator will be purely based on HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript framework.
Project specification
The SOCR Data is a 2-tie1 hierarchical structure. The first tier hierarchy is for the type of data categorized (classified) by its' domain and sub-domains. The second tier hierarchy comes from the exemplary SOCR tools that can be employed to model, analyze or visualize these type of datasets. There are 2 main ways to discover socr datasets:
- The navigator will allow users to search for data using keywords (and/or scientific domains and SOCR tool types),
- The navigator will enable the dynamically traversal all datasets in a graphical manner.
Mouse-over a cell or a dataset should clearly identify the hierarchical types of the dataset - in terms of the scientific domain and the types of applicable SOCR tools.
