Project Goals
To develop a new SOCR Project wave-bot for the topic of Distributions.
Background
- Google Waves: A Wave an online tool for real-time communication and collaboration which includes textual conversations, documents, images, videos, maps, and other interactive materials. Any Wave participant may scan, respond, contribute, update and modify a Wave, with a version-controlled time-point reference to all Wave contributions. A Wave is an interactive, rich and live communication between wave-riders.
- SOCR Distributions Wave Bot: Aims to develop a new prototype of a SOCR Wave: SOCR Distributions Wave (SDW). The SDW will represent, in the continuum, the live state of all SOCR Distributions related activities, provide access to specific distributions, information/help about each distribution, updates, links to interactive applet distribution calculations and simulations.
Project Specifications
- Develop a Google Wave robot that:
- Crows through the wave, identifies keyword, phrases and references, and makes these live links to appropriate SOCR resources.
- Example: A SOCR Distribution Wave sentence:
- SOCR Distributions are a collection of distribution applets developed by the SOCR Resource, which allow interactive navigation, exploration and calculations of p-values and critical-values for varieties of distributions.
- May be transformed by the SDW robot into:
